The Extensions item contains all of the registration information for the file types supported by this component's key file
.
Right-click on Extensions to specify a new file type. Enter your own extension without the dot (for example, enter txt instead of .txt) to replace the default name. Click on the extension to set its properties
You can also register command verbs (such as Open and Print) that appear in the context menu for a file of the registered extension. To add a new verb and specify its properties, right-click on the extension and select New Verb.
Then, enter the name of your new verb. You can use any of the “canonical verbs,” such as open, print, find, and properties.
For any file type you can register the multipurpose Internet mail extension (MIME) types, also known as media types or content types. You can also associate a MIME type with a class ID. Right-click on a file extension to create a new MIME type.
